Hey there!  I'm often asked, "How do I get a dream job within cannabis like you?"  And honestly, I have to say this was never what I set out to be... it all just sort of fell into place.  To give a bit of insight on how I got to where I am today, working freelance for myself as a full-time photographer specializing in cannabis, I'll rewind a bit!

 I was born in Wallingford, Connnecticut  where I grew up until moving to Providence, Rhode Island in fall of 2009.  I attended college in Providence to gather my Culinary Arts degree from Johnson & Wales University.  I worked as a line and prep cook around Providence while gathering an education.  I moved to Newport, RI for a summer working at one of the most exquisite restaurants, The Spiced Pear before making the move to the mid-west to continue my education.  In 2011 after two years of AS studies I moved to Denver, Colorado to finish my Business Studies BA degree at the Denver campus of Johnson & Wales University.  I worked as a chef  at restaurants including Linger and Crave Dessert Bar before deciding the long, labor intensive hours and minimal pay just wasn't going to be the life for me.  So, I turned to cannabis.  I dove head first grew it, trimmed it, cooked with it, and that's when it clicked. The combination of two things I loved most, weed & good food.

I was given the opportunity to run a small medical cannabis edible kitchen in southern Colorado.  I took the chance, created some delicious infused sweets for awhile and eventually moved into more of the retail end of things, working directly with medical marijuana patients providing my knowledge of the plant and it's medicinal benefits.  All the while I was growing and eventually invested in my first camera. 

Colorado is where my photography journey began after getting my first camera, Sony Alpha 65, in 2012.  I since then have fallen deeply in love, day after day with all that this beautiful state has to offer me.  From the scenic moutain views, to the amazing music and concert scene, to the leagalization of cannabis I LOVE Colorado.  I have dived in all aspects with my photography- landscape, live music, and cannabis photography and even some engagement/weddings.  I now have gained a Nikon D5300 thanks to my Aunt Cathie & Uncle Phil!  In 2015 I started publishing my photography through DOPE Magazine as a content provider and in 2016 I took the Colorado Office Management position. 

Currently I work full-time freelance providing my photography services and social media skills to local Colorado companies, including concentrate, edible, hemp and cannabis retail companies.  Without the help and support of my family, peers, and fellow photographers & followers on my instagram @fillyoureyes, I wouldn't be where I am with the success I do today - thanks everyone!
